Welcome to Lost Sanity Brewing, where the Fenske Family has been crafting exceptional brews since 2018. Nestled in the heart of Madelia, our brewery is the result of deep local pride and a bit of boldness—we couldn’t resist the idea of opening a brewery in the town we love. We’re proud to be locally owned and operated, sourcing most of our ingredients from right here in the area. When you drink with us, you truly Drink Local.
Starting this brewery was no small feat; some might say you’d have to be a little crazy to do it. We chose a brew system that doesn’t quite fit the mold—too big to be a Nano brewery, but too small to be a Microbrewery. Our goal is to offer the freshest beer possible while staying sustainable in our tight-knit community.
Madelia is more than just our home; it’s the perfect spot for a brewery like ours. With amenities that rival much larger towns, we’re in a prime location—right off Highway 60 and Highway 15, and just a short 30-minute drive from Mankato, New Ulm, and Fairmont. Plus, our convenient Main Street location makes us easy to find.
Our Brewmaster, Caleb Fenske, discovered his passion for brewing through his adventurous palate, always eager to try new foods and beverages. What started with a simple beer brewing kit soon turned into a deep love for crafting a wide variety of beers, leading Caleb to become the brewmaster he is today.
